He has chaired the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct, the Texas Commission on Lawyer Discipline, and the District 4H Grievance Committee of the State Bar of Texas. He has authored portions of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct and he served on the task force that created the Texas Rules of Disciplinary Procedure.
